What is Strong Means to You?
Every one of us is strong. How we are strong may differ but strong is within us. Sometimes we lose sight of this; we forget our own personal power. Sometimes we are so caught up in doing that we forget about the strengths we are actually demonstrating.
Sometimes we dismiss the idea that we are strong. Often, we aren’t aware of the ways we exhibit personal strength. Instead, we assign strong to physical prowess. Or, we say another person is strong. Maybe they’re strong-willed. Perhaps they’re unyielding in the defense of a child or a cause. We say they are the strong ones forgetting our personal strength.
Why don’t we think of ourselves as strong? Perhaps it feels as if we are aggrandizing our actions. More likely, it’s because we are deeply committed to the action others see as strong. While we are doing something others view as strong, our internal experience may feel ordinary. We’re following our instinctive natural path. That doesn’t make us feel strong. No, it makes us feel that we're doing what we’re supposed to be doing.
